International Distance starts at 7:30 AM on Saturday, July 7, at Town Square in Waterville Valley , NH . No rain date. Race management reserves the right to modify or shorten the race course in the case of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, and to accept or reject any entry. No transfers, substitutions. The minimum age to compete is 13.

.25 mile fresh water swim in beautiful, mountain-fed, Corcoran’s Pond This will be a time trial start with athletes starting individually at 3 second intervals. There will be lifeguard and boat support. Average water temperature is 72 degrees F.

As you exit the water, there will be some fine folks to help you out of your wetsuit. Just pull down the zipper leash, and get the wetsuit down to your waist. Flop on the carpet, and they'll do the rest!

21 mile spectacular, scenic one-loop course through Waterville Valley, the White Mountain National Forest, Thornton and Campton. Start out right at Town Square, then head off between towering 4000 foot mountain peaks, while hugging the beautiful Mad River. There will be professional lead and sag vehicles MC CYCLE AND SPORT will be on course for mechanical support. They will also be on hand to help you with any problems that occur race morning. This is a draft-free event! Marshals will be enforcing USA Triathlon drafting guidelines. You must know the rules! All athletes must have CPSC approved helmets to participate. The 5 mile Run is a scenic out and back course throughout Waterville Valley, the White Mountain National Forest, over bridges and along Tripoli Road, before finishing in the heart of things at Town Square. It’s good to be king, or queen! Are you tough enough to complete the trifecta of the Time Trial, International, and the Short Course? Join us for the Lord of the Flies 3 day stage race, where age groupers will compete for overall awards for the fastest combined time for the Time Trial, International, and Short Course events. When you register, choose this option and receive a discounted entry fee. All Lord of The Flies Finishers will receive a special LORD OF THE FLIES FINISHER hat following their race on Sunday, and be a part of the special Lord of the Flies Finisher Fest Sunday afternoon, and oh, into the wee hours of the following morning!

There will be co-ed or single sex relay teams. Teams can be comprised of 2 or three teammates, dividing up the swim, bike, and run portions of the race.

1. Team/Club Participation Award (Most Members Racing for the entire weekend): $200.00
2. Team/Club Tent Award (Best Team Tailgaiting Tent with Decorations): $100.00

Get clean as a whistle after finishing with your race! If you're not staying in one of the hotels at Waterville Valley, and want to grab a shower before heading home, the White Mountain Athletic Club is offering the use of a locker, shower, towel, and hair dryer for $5.00. Just pop in!

All of Waterville Valley is a biergarten for you! When you cross the finish line, make sure you pick up your Black Fly Beer Buck for a complimentary Coors Light beer at the various restaurants and lounges in town!

Saturday evening, don’t forget to head back to Town Square for the Black Fly Bash, with live tunes on the bandstand, great food, and fireworks presentation!

Right on the beach at Corcoran's Pond, be sure to head over to the bonfire, listen to some music, and grab some s'mores!

Be sure to hang around Town Square Saturday evening, to view the spectacular fireworks display over Corcoran's Pond. Grab an ice cream at Jugtown Ice Cream shop, some great dinner at the various restaurants, and sit under the stars and watch the sky light up!

Come by the the Inspiration Station, grab a cowbell, and make a sign for your favorite triathlete!

It's great to be a kid....It's not so great to be a kid watching adults run around in spandex. To make the kiddos feel at home, we'll be offering a bunch of activities for them. There will be arts and crafts, and Nintendo Wii's set up so the kids can play some video games! There will also be a coloring contest, so make sure your kids stop by and color in Buzz the Black Fly!

In addition, there will be a special pie-eating contest for the kids, to take place right before the awards. Sign up at the Kids Zone.

In addition, be on the lookout for Bonk The Moose, who'll be handing out Black Fly Bucks to any kid he sees. Those Black Fly Bucks can be exchanged at the Black Fly General Store for free goodies!

Rubber Ducky, you're the one, you make bath time so much fun! Be sure to place your bets on your duck, or purchase multiple DUCK BUCKS, to benefit Make A Wish of NH. The Second Annual Make A Wish Rubber Ducky Race will take place Saturday afternoon, at Town Square. We'll send the ducks down the raging whitewater. The first duck across the finish line wins! If your DUCK BUCK number matches the number on your duck, you win! The winner will win Mavic Race wheels, and a bunch of other great schwag! All of the proceeds go directly to the Make A Wish of New Hampshire. DUCK BUCKS may be purchased online with your entry or at the Make A Wish Booth at the Black Fly Village. You'll be able to decorate your duck to prep for the big race, too!

Special Awards for the top 3 male/females overall. Top 3 M/F all 5-yr age groups. Top Clydesdales (200+ lbs) and Athena (women 150+ lbs). Relay: top all male/all female/mixed. Awards also presented to the top male and female Master's finishers (40 + years). NO DUPLICATE AWARDS. All Finishers will receive a Black Fly Finisher's towel and finisher’s keepsake.
